Razor blade necklace: Jewelry with an edge

I had no idea that the simple addition of a heart cutout could make wearing a sterling-silver razor blade around your neck more socially acceptable and appropriate for the office. But apparently it does (assuming you don't work with small children or psychiatric patients, of course).
The "blade" is completely smooth, so there's supposedly no risk of injury, but I'm not so sure. I mean, when something like this is advertised as essentially taking the place of flowers, chocolate, and diamonds (in other words, commercialized romance), you have to take its safety guarantees with a grain of salt.

I dunno - its kinda cute maybe on a barber or hairdresser? Definitely not so cute on a nutty teenager though (where they no doubt will be found)...

If you wear it, be prepared for a lot of comments on that necklace. Some people really like it. Others find it very disturbing. Some think I have a coke habit, like to cut myself or am suicidal. But I am none of those things, I just really liked it.
note: somehow I posted this comment on the wrong entry as well. Sorry about that.

I would wear it to represent my battle with self-injury. I've been SI-free for over two years, and I think this is something that would be symbolic for me (and others who have experienced it).
