Pessimist Mug for . . . well, pessimists

pessimist-mug.jpg

Wouldn't you get a kick out of seeing one of these Pessimist Mugs in the hands of a motivational speaker? Maybe if you paid good money to attend the seminar you wouldn't be laughing quite as hard, but you know what I mean.

The classic phrase "this glass is now half-empty" is screen-printed on the basic mug ($9.95) and etched onto the executive model ($19.95). I can't decide which is better. On the one hand, the print on the basic mug would probably just rub off eventually after too many washes. And on the other hand, I'd probably just drop the more expensive executive mug on the kitchen tile and break it, shattering the glass into who knows how many pieces that I'd need to clean up. And I hate vacuuming. Then, of course, you know I'd miss a shard and get it stuck in my foot one day when I'm in a hurry, probably when I'm trying not to be late to that session about the power of a positive outlook.

Decisions, decisions.
