Ecopod compact recycling system

ecopod_recycling.jpg

ecopod_open.jpg

My kitchen is the size of a galley in a small boat, so everything has to be super compact and, if possible, mutl-functional. The Ecopod Recycling System from Williams-Sonoma crushes 50 plastic and aluminum containers and stores them in a plastic pod for transfer to your recycling bin. The bottom of the Ecopod unit also contains separate pods for glass bottles, newspapers and other recyclables, and the manual crushing mechanism is operated by a foot pedal at the bottom. Made of stainless steel and plastic, and available in black or white, the Ecopod sells for $328

This is perfect! My kitchen IS a small galley on a boat! ;)

(ok, it's a rather large boat, but still...)

Nice, but for over $300, I can take the trash out each night.
