Zipel Cullinan refrigerators from Samsung

zipelcullinan_refrigerator.jpg

Even though the detailed technical specs and pricing of the recently launched Zipel Cullinan refrigerators from Samsung are not yet available, it's obvious that this product is aiming for nothing less than opulence.

With a luxurious wood finish (accomplished by using a wood-like synthetic material called EverMax) and 7 sensors to make sure that the food stays fresh longer, the refrigerator has been named “Cullinan” as an allusion to the biggest diamond ever found. That said, I would have expected a refrigerator series named after diamonds to have something other than a wooden finish...wouldn’t you? Well, apart from the finish, the other features being flaunted are its easy door opening and Touch Light Handle, details of which are as yet unavailable. And no, the cute looking models shown in the picture do not come included with the package.

I wonder if Samsung is aware of the fact that the original Cullian diamond had a defective black spot right at the center and is rumoured to have resulted in the death of the diamond cutter when it was finally split into two pieces. Well, I guess all luxury comes with its share of woes. We have to wait to find out about this one as the current availability is only for the Korean market.
