Wash your own keyboard or mouse

unotron_washable_keyboard.jpg

I'm paranoid of spilling drinks on any computer accessories, after an errant Coke wiped out my keyboard many years ago. So the idea of dunking my keyboard or mouse into the sink to wash it, or to let either near anything more than a drop of water is a rather nerve-wracking proposition.

Not for Unotron, though. Its washable products come in the form of keyboards, mice and even smartcard readers that are designed to be soaped up and wiped down any time they need to be. With their patented SpillSeal technology, all these products can be washed under running water and even immersed in antibacterial solutions for that truly antiseptic feel. I'm not that fussy about keyboard cleanliness myself, but I'm sure this is a boon for people who work in healthcare or education environments (which seem to be their primary target markets).

The keyboards and mice come in corded or wireless options. Keyboards start at $45.99 and mice at $49.99 from Unotron Online, with more products forthcoming.
