Open city exhibition, workshop and event at Eyebeam

The digital arts organization, Eyebeam, just started the 2007 exhibition season with Open City: Tools For Public Action, which investigates artists whose work involves going out into the street.
Part of the exhibition will include workshops and events. There is a workshop this Saturday, March 17 from 3pm to 5pm. Artists participating include the sculptor Leon Reid,
GRL-Overview of Mobile Broadcast Unit and Steve Lambert. After 5:00 pm. there will be a projection of projects from GRL (Graffiti Research Lab). I previously posted about GRL's DIY LED Throwie project.
Then on March 29, there's the event, "Upgrade!" -- a discussion with Leon Reid and a screening of the documentary Public Discourse, which investigates illegal installation art.
Eyebeam is located on 540 W. 21st Street, (between 10th and 11th Avenues) in New York. For more information, check out their website.
