Kuppersbusch Electric Honeycomb Cooktop

kuppersbusch_honeycomb.jpg

If you're looking around for a futuristic looking cooktop to give that hi-tech touch to your kitchen, the honeycomb cooktop from Kuppersbusch surely fits the bill. Its space-age looks are not the only thing to talk about; in functionally, it does not disappoint. Made out of sleek glass ceramic material, this electric cooktop can be built into your counter-top. The big feature is the 6 cooking zones shaped as interlocking hexagons, which the unit its honeycomb appearance. The touch control unit is also shaped on the same lines and combined with the cooking zones, you can set up the cooktop in as much as 28 different layouts. This translates into tremendous flexibility into how big and in what shape you would like to set up your cooktop. Cleaning is a breeze, since it is completely flat with no knobs or buttons. Child safety has always been a concern with such units and that has been addressed by a child-safety interlock.

All this can't be expected to come cheap, so be prepared to shell out over $550 for the heating elements and $1,750 for the control interface.
