Heat your food on the move with the WaveBox
Everyone knows about mobile entertainment, but what about mobile cooking? With people travelling more than ever before, this does seem to be a logical idea. At least the makers of WaveBox, the world's smallest portable microwave, think so. While travelling on the highway or in a remote location, you no longer have to miss out on your favorite food or drink. All you need to do is plug in the WaveBox into any AC/DC outlet or to your car's cigarette lighter outlet and you're on your way to rustle up grub for your stomach. Absolutely no need for a separate inverter. As an added bonus, there's also the CoolWave that fits into the WaveBox to keep food and drinks cool until you decide to heat them up. The WaveBox is made of lightweight and durable ABS plastic; it's no wonder then that it's 40 percent lighter than the other models on the market. The looks won't exactly ignite your aesthetic sense. However, for me, its capability to ignite enough heat to warm my food during my long travels is sufficient reason to invest in one.
Seems like the WaveBox has caught the imagination and wallets of many folks, and hence it's backordered until April 2007. You can contact the company though to get on the waitlist. Priced at $199.

Makes for good popcorn when stuck in traffic with a DVD player in the dash?
What's next... hide-a-beds for SUV back seats?

This is good for people like plumbers and electricians who work all day from their vehicles. To avoid a fattening fast food lunch, you can warm up a decent lunch from your truck.
