Wake up with Clocky

A trick I learned in college was to put my alarm clock across the room from my bed. This strategy forces me to physically get out of bed to turn off the alarm. I still find it effective today, especially useful on cold mornings like we're currently having in New York.
Talented designer Gauri Nanda has taken it one step further, with Clocky.
Last year, Jenna reported on this innovative alarm clock, back when it was only a prototype. Now, the real thing is available. It's looking polished, fun and campy, just like Jenna had hoped. The alarm clock was initially created for helping Nanda get a prompt start to her day. However, she quickly learned that many of her friends have similar needs.
The clock lets you hit snooze once. After that, it actually jumps off your night stand and starts running away. You need to actually chase it down to turn it off. By then, the hope is that you're awake and semi-ready to face the morning. Owners may come to loathe chasing down Clocky every morning, but its effectiveness will ensure its use.
Nanda's Clocky comes in White, Aqua, and Mint, and retails for $49.99.
