Strap a pill box to your cellphone

porter_survivalkit.jpg

Let me be honest. When I read that the Japanese consider dressing up a cell phone almost as important as having one, I was amused. The cell phone has come a long way, indeed. From being a mere communication device to a camera to a personal organizer, and now to being a barbie doll, waiting to be decked out. It;s no wonder that cell phone straps are big in Japan, and it's all about having fun with your favourite characters and symbols strapped to your cell. There are also some really incredibly ridiculous ones like this one, with a UFO detector built in.

I must admit though that there are some useful straps going around and this Pill Box strap sounds like a good idea to me. Most of us rarely step out of the house without our cell phone, and having this strap will ensure that you don't miss out on your daily medication wherever you are. Using the alarm feature on your mobile, you can be sure that you never fail to take your pills on time. On the aesthetics front, the pill box as such looks pretty nice, and with its metallic finish, appears to be durable.

Available only in Japan; if you want one, you may have to ring up one of your Japanese friends to get them from here at $6.50.
