Scoop uptowns the ice cream truck
Popgadget has a long tradition of covering significant innovations in ice cream technology. Scoop is a new company who will be selling ice cream to all the cool kids... and their parents. This is ice cream for the nightclub circuit - hot lights, funky beats, and high end ice cream served in sleek Chinese take out boxes. CPB Design Director Adam Ellis won the company's internal business concept competition with his desire to rekindle the childhood excitement of chasing down the ice cream man.
The company doesn't have a website yet, but I found details on Cool Hunter and Springwise. Service so far is sporadic through London's East End, but expect to see black and pink vans at English music festivals this year. If Mr. Ellis really wants to excite the adult market he should offer frozen cocktails. Who doesn't like to enjoy a frozen margarita on occasion?
