Metropolitain Martinis to go

metro_martini.jpg I'll admit that I'm kind of a know-it-all smarty-pants when it comes to libations and cocktails and parties (oh my!), but sometimes that whole routine just has to go out the window for some good 'ol fashioned fun. One of my daily visit websites, Days that End in Y, reviewed a new premixed drink, or "Club Cocktail," that looks like it'll be perfect for an impromptu fancy pants romantic picnic under the stars. The Metropolitan Martini is packaged in a heavy plastic stemmed cocktail glass, with a peel away top. Just chill it up, peel the top, and enjoy! They're very convenient, will ride safely in a pic-a-nic basket, and they look a lot better than those red plastic frat boy beer cups. Boston Mike is pretty tough on his cocktails, but his opinion is that their straight Vodka Martini and the Apple Martini are both fairly on par with the cocktails sold at most restaurants. A two-pack of Metropolitan Martinis run about twelve bucks; give 'em a shot.
