Intelligent waste-bin

I.master is the product name of this "intelligent waste bin," -- so intelligent that it's worth over $300.
What is it that makes i.Master so much smarter than all its fellow waste bin buddies? It combines "modern infrared-technology with the classic Kickmaster-design and thus offers highest convenience and easy handling." What this means is that when a person's hand approaches the top of the bin, its infrared sensors are activated to automatically open the lid. It is indeed pretty convenient, but as far as I'm concerned, not worth $332.00.
i.Master is available at questodesign.com.

That's actually 332 euros, or about $432!

yeah, I would maybe pay 80-90 dollars for this...but that is it...nothing over that. 300 it should have an automatic mini compactor in it, and wheels and a automatic "go to the side of road for pickup" programing.

There are other wastecans that use sensor technology that are less expensive. See my blog entry, inspired by this one.
