Doggie Treadmill

dogtreadmillmutt.jpg

When you buy a dog you're suppossed to walk it, not buy it a pedometer or a treadmill!

I used to have a boyfriend who would take my doxie, Sam, for a ride in his car, feeling that would suffice. Needless to say, not a dog person. I don't care how small your apartment is, that you don't have a backyard, that you don't have a doggie door...get out that leash and do some laps. Oh, yeah, and take a doggie bag.

What's next ...doggie gyms?

I don't think this is a bad idea for when it is raining or snowing. You don't come back from the walk with a chilly, wet dog that now needs a bath. If you live in an area with bad weather, this could be a compassionate solution for your pet.

Just to offer up a differing viewpoint: I've often thought it would be convenient to have something like this. We own Vizslas. I do believe the more common name for the dog is "never runs out of energy". They're like little doggie superballs. Our girls can do 5-8 miles on our morning run and be crazy by mid-afternoon. Perhaps this just needs to be super-sized for those of us who own bigger dogs. =)

i have searched far and wide to buy the dog walker. where in the world is it sold?
