Electronic chic

Ethernet cables and diodes aren't just for computer insides anymore. In the hands of Liz McLean Knight, they make great minimalist jewelry for her Zelle brand, providing that extra touch of geek cred even when you're sans tech toys.
A twist of ethernet cables creates a cheerful, colourful choker, while diodes and ferrite beads bring a modern, stylized edge to bracelet designs. I'm especially taken by the MIDI cuff, made of sequential MIDI cable segments (Knight also works on an online magazine about electronic music). It adds a cool Star Trek vibe without having to resort to pointed ears or passionately uttered Klingon. Great as streetwear or sciencewear!
Available from Elsewares for $15-45 per item.
