The latest PMP from Toshiba, the V30E is due to be rolled out soon. And all the hue and cry this time is, disappointingly, only about the color.

A classic case of old wine in new bottle, Toshiba has retained the same specs as its earlier model V30 while introducing the new V30E in pink and navy blue colors. The V30E has the same 30-gig internal memory and supports all major media formats. The 3.5 inch TFT display, integrated speakers, USB support and good battery life (25 hrs audio / 8 hrs video) get carried over as well. The only fresh addition is the 1 Seg built-in TV tuner, which unfortunately isn’t enough to be the saving grace. The V30E retains an uptight price of $430 and will be available in Japan from Dec 15.
