Fujifilm FinePix Z5fd
Fujifilm claims to be to the first company to develop "Face Detection technology." While I disagree (I've been able to detect faces for years), I can see how the innovation would prove useful in cameras. The system features in the new 6 Megapixel FinePix Z5fd, which "captures up to ten faces in a frame and optimizes focus and exposure to take the best possible people-pictures."
I hate when people get in the way of me trying to take photos of wine bottles. Interestingly, the camera also includes a "blog mode," which "adjusts image settings for posting online." This sounds to me like a pointless feature added to make Fujifilm seem a little more "with it," or to con parents into buying it for their blogging children. The FinePix Z5fd is available in three colours, Raspberry Red, Mocha Brown and Silver. Get it in March 2007 for $229.
