Feel the pluck: Panasonic wet dry epilator and shaver

submersible_epilator.jpg

Let's take a moment to reflect on what great lengths women will go to in order to remove unwanted body hair. Shaving, waxing, and the use of depilatories, all are various forms of discomfort which we put up with in order to achieve a particular aesthetic goal. Makes you wonder how and why anyone would want to submit themselves to the even greater torture of using a Wet/Dry Epilator & Shaver. For those who don't know, epilators work by tweezing individual hairs with several (in this case thirty six) rotating disks which grasp and yank unwanted fuzz from the skin. Can you say ouch? But this epilator has a few bells and whistles which are worth noting. The Wet/Dry Epilator & Shaver is cordless and fully submersible, allowing for at least the luxury of painfully removing your stray hairs while relaxing in the tub or shower, and the interchangable shave head allows for other options when the going gets rough. Sized for travel, and at $89.95, priced to move. Smooth perfection can be yours, if you're willing to suffer for it of course.

Ruth:

I remember my friend and I each bought an Epilady when they came out. Same principle. I had to bite down on a towel while using it so I wouldn't scream from the pain. And our legs would bleed. No thanks, even in water.

Amanda:

I just bought the pink version of this model, and having never epilated before, it's not as bad as I expected! I was able to do both my arms in a single shot, in dry mode, and I am a CHICKEN - can't even pull off a bandaid myself...

It's been 3 days, and there is no sign of the hair growing back yet. I expected to see at least soft fuzz the very next day.

Also, they say over time, it gets less painful and the hair grows back less and less. Thinking longterm, this sounds great to me!
