Power heated wetsuit

SE-news-ripcurl-wetsuit1.jpg

With surfing gaining such popularity, more and more people are taking to the water. And now, with this latest invention by Rip Curl, even the cold won't stop the hordes from flooding the lineup. Rip Curl's H-Bomb is the world's first power heated wetsuit. Using two coated fiber elements positioned on the back, the H-Bomb supplies heat to the core of the body with two Polymer Lithium Ion 7.2v batteries - the same ones found in mobile phones, iPods and laptop computers. The design of the suit integrates heating elements and batteries, cushioning both with a neoprene sponge for comfort. With two heat settings and the option to incorporate the technology into various thickness wetsuits, it's only a matter of time before everybody begins charging arctic waves.
