IOGEAR germ-free Wireless Laser Mouse
The market for antibacterial mice seems to be heating up. Along similar lines as the Elecom antibacterial mouse comes the the latest entrant, the IOGEAR's germ-free wireless laser mouse.
This mouse uses technology similar to that of the Elecom mouse to ward off harmful bacteria, microbes and algae. The only difference in this case is that instead of a resin coating, a titanium dioxide and silver nano-particle compound is used to perform the protective role. The other USP of this mouse is that it features a custom laser as the light source for tracking purposes. The company claims that this is 30 times more powerful than optical sensors and thereby reduces stress on the hands and arms. So with the anti-bacterial protection, the company lures by throwing in the benefits of anti-RSI, and up to 6-feet of wireless connectivity as well.
Given my penchant for health and hygiene, I'm glad that we're slowly moving towards peripherals designed to handle the subtle hazards faced by the average computer user
Available at IOGEAR for $39.95.
