As everyone with an iPod knows, the default earbuds from Apple stink. Griffrin has come up Ear Jams andEar Thumps which they sent to us to try out. Let's start with the less expensive Ear Jams, which easily snap onto your Apple earbuds and are 100% more comfortable. More importantly, they deliver better sound and bass. Not only do they raise the volume by 10 decibels, but they cut out some of the outside noise as well. I give them a B minus. Each set of EarJams ($19.99) comes with three sizes of earpads to give you a personalized fit, and a handy carrying case. But if you really want to improve your sound experience, spring for the Ear Thumps ($29.99), also by Griffin. Designed specifically for iPods, they have impressive noise isolation, enchanced bass and are quite compact. I give them a B plus. A good deal for the money. Find them at Griffin Technology.

I have been using the ear jams for a while now with my mobiblu device and they make the uncomfortable earphones 100% more comfortable. I have found, though, that the earpads sometimes just jump off; I have to buy a whole new package just for the pads...but superglue solved the whole problem!
