BounceBack

uabs2_full.jpg

Let me ask you a personal question, ...do you back up your computer? Not often enough? Thought so. Experts recommend that we do it at the end of EACH working day, but it's a given you're too busy to do that. Here's a handy solution -- the CMS BounceBack, which protects everything on your computer in case of a failure. The BB can restart a PC or Mac should it fail and the best part -- after the first initial full backup, subsequent backups are automatic.

BounceBack creates an exact bootable copy of your computer's hard drive so your valuable documents, photos, everything -- is salvaged. Pete Townsend , who is a bit of a wizard on the computer as well as the guitar (and has a wonderfully entertaining blog ) says on his website, "It has survived a flood, being trashed, rescued and dried out - it worked first time, still covered in Thames river mud."

Hopefully, you're precious laptop will not be dunked in the Thames but wouldn't it be comforting to know you've got this disaster recovery software?

ABS Plus with Bounceback V7.0 is available for Mac or PC, priced from £109
+VAT. That's $189 in USD.

barry george:

Great summary. I have been using the ABS for about 4 years and this latest version is the best. It really does work and has saved me from the long task of re-building my PC from the CDs on several occassions.
