StrapTrap traps runaway bra straps

Teenagers can get away with wearing tank tops with their bra straps sticking out every which way, but beyond a certain age -- and I'll keep to myself what age I think that is, lest I be accused of being a prude -- showing your underwear is either pathetic or just plain sloppy.
There are clips like the Brabuddy that Saresha wrote about, which convert a regular bra into a crossback bra so that the straps don't slip off your shoulders. But my problem isn't with bra straps that fall off my shoulders, but rather the opposite -- straps that show when I'm wearing tops that have a wide neckline, so that I'm constantly pulling the straps away from my neck and closer to the edge of my shoulders. I've sometimes taken safety pins and pinned the straps to the inside of my top, but that always turns out to be a time-consuming project because it's hard to get it just right so that the pins don't show. As for strapless bras, well I won't even get into why those don't work for me.
StrapTraps address this problem nicely and inexpensively. Described simply, a StrapTrap is: "A small fitment which is attached to [the] shoulder seam of a sleeveless blouse etc... into which a bra strap slots. The fitment stops the bra strap slipping in to view." They come in white or black, and are available in retail packs of six pairs as well as in multi packs.
Basically if you can sew on a button, you can sew on StrapTraps (I know at least two sewing-challenged people who won't be able to use these without help, but if they're nice to me, I'll offer my expert assistance).

The Doorganizer: don't leave home without it

Are you the type to head out the door only to realize halfway to work that you forgot to mail that very important envelope sitting on your kitchen table? I know I am. Which is why I like the idea behind the Doorganizer. You see, I'm a forgetful kind of girl. Well-intentioned, but imminently forgetful. And to compensate, I have all sorts of tricks to ensure that I can function with a minimum of confusion and misplaced belongings. The Doorganizer is just one more weapon to add to the arsenal. All those little items I'd be inclined to forget at home: mobile phone, keys, letters to be mailed, all can be left in the roomy pockets of the Doorganizer. And before I leave - yoohoo! - smack dab in front of my face is a gentle reminder before I've even left the building and gone too far that it'd be impossible to run back home once I've remembered. Nothing is worse than showing up at your destination and suddenly realizing you've left that rent check back at home and it needed to be mailed... again! So, what are you waiting for? Go get Doorganized.

BluEye - Your iPod is calling

GEAR4, a UK company that makes cool iPod accessories, like the House Party 24/7 (advanced 2.1 stereo speaker system with alarm clock, remote control and AM/FM radio ) and the PocketParty V2 micro speakers has come up with another "gotta have" for your iPod.
BluEye is a 3 in1 Bluetooth hands free mobile connection, FM radio and remote control, which allows you to make and receive calls on your iPod. The company calls this the "missing link between your iPod and mobile phone." When a call comes in, the music automatically pauses and the number of the person calling is displayed on the iPod screen. Take the call or go back to your music. It sells for £49.99 on the GEAR4 website.

Another new product worth checking out at GEAR4 is the PocketParty Micro speaker system for the new iPod Nano (£19.99), with 1 watt of Stereo Sound output from two teeny weeny speakers, and up to 10 hours of play from a single AA battery. The black and white versions are available for pre-order.
