Wunderwurks Design

Tony Wurman, a classically trained industrial designer and glass blower, is the wunderkind founder and artist behind the Wunderwurks Design studio in New York City.
What's unique about his wonderful designs is that everything is made with recyclable materials, such as this Hula Hula lamp ($680) which is actually hot-glue sticks that are melted and stretched to resemble stained glass. Inspriation for this lamp, he says, came from LA surf graphics and Venice Beach's colorful tapestry.
Using a specific blend of EVA hotmelt adhesive and proprietary techniques he has developed, Wurman can transform hot glue into a Tiffany-esque lamp, using wire for the base, or create a stunning clock.

You can see more of his work at Wunderwurks.
