Sorry, but this isn't right. I don't know where i have read the reasons (and it was in german, too) but a good counter-example is the first word of this article. "According": the readabilty depends a lot on the arrangement of the letters: "Aoccdrnig" is easyier to read and understand than "Aoicnrdcg" or "Adrncoicg". A word becomes difficultier to read if it is longer than other words. Another example: "University" -> "Uinvsetiry" -> "Uerstnviiy". This word is used in the article, too, but the arrangement of the vowels is different. In the article there is still a certain similaritiy to the original word. So if you only read "Uerstnviiy" you can't understand it without the right context.
I think this article might be a hoax.
