Pasta express

All aboard the Pasta Express! It may look like a regular old pasta noodle container, but it's more. This wacky device will, as the advertisements tell you, let you cook, strain, and drain your meal without having to even dirty a cooking pot. Basically you load up your pasta, pour hot water into the container, slip on the strainer top, and let the noodles cook. Then when enough time has elapsed (7-10 minutes) you remove the thermal lid, drain, and enjoy! Now that's easy. I'm even tempted to order one to give it a try, because let me tell you, on those nights when cooking seems like a chore even saving small steps along the way to preparing dinner can help. And hey, it's only $19.99!

i am guessing the product is a scam and would love someone who has used it to post a comment.

Cook's Illustrated reviewed this product, they warned to stay away. Some noodles will be overcooked while other noodles will be undercooked and clumped together. I was really hoping this contraption would at least work some!

Ah, but the reviews of this thing have been absolutely savage...

Cook's Illustrated tried it out. It doesn't work. (Unless you really like crunchy pasta.)

I looked at that and wondered how it could posssibly work. If you dump a bunch of noodles in boiled water without stirring they will just form a big clump with the middle uncooked and the outside too soggy. Which is what it sounds like this does!
And anyway, how hard is it to boil noodles in a pan on a stove.
