iPod in a can

There isn't much to say about Atech's iCarta iPod dock and Bath Tissue Holder. No joke; someone actually made a speaker system for the iPod with a toilet paper holder attached. The iCarta's sporting four speakers, a charging iPod dock, adjustable spacers for different iPod models, and a quick release fastening system for portability. My only question is: How many of these can they possibly sell?

Well, this thing had a HUGE crowd around it at MacWorld in SF, and it was just a funny thing the guy brought, i think they make memory testing or some type of equipment (which was their whole booth).... anyway, it would work in the bathroom for those that spend time there (or need noise cover), but i think its real promise is mounted on the wall next to my bed, the other place i need toilet paper and maybe some 'in the mood' music playlist??? get the idea?

you know, at first I actually glared at the screen at this one, but then I started thinking... for long showers or nice relaxing baths this would be great.

You know those shower radios/cd players that companies like Sharper Image and Brookstone are touting? Well, I think this was just the obvious next step.
And you gotta hand it to the creative genius that found additional use for the toilet paper holder! Brilliant! :D

In my opinion, its obnoxiously large! I have a small toilet space and i'd imagine a very awkard moment with knees bumpings and tucking and whathaves you in the installation of a beast like this. I have a nice iPod speaker that is wonderfully portable for me to take into my potty in the event of a "doosey"

Maybe you should change the name of this site to "poopgadget.net".
This looks like one of those crazy Japanese "art" products that are totally ridiculus.

You could say it was a crappy idea. I'm not much of an iPod fan anyway. I think the whole idea is a bit humorous. To pay $400 for a music player device without speakers and then have to have docking stations with speakers in every room makes me laugh. But I can see the value to someone who has to have HIS or HER music library with them 24/7.
