Fruity home appliances

fruitappliance.jpg

Ahh! I love the smell of lemon zest cleanliness in a kitchen, and, eh, the look of strawberries on my fridge. These panels from Vincon instantly transform the dullest of kitchens into a walk-in fruit bowl. The range consists of apples, oranges, lemons, strawberries, coffee beans and more bizarrely, broken eggs. The flexible sheets are thin enough to be cut with scissors to allow for variations in appliances, and are easily interchangeable due to their magnetic nature.

The designs were produced using "high quality digital printing", and only 100% organic fruit was used in the photographs. Ok, I made that last part up - I thought it might make you feel better about yourself if you bought one.

Get them now from Vincon for €116 each.

I really like the look of those panels, but wow, they seem a bit expensive.

$240 Canadian, plus tax and shipping. Ouch. I'll have to live with white for now.

Oh my god! Could we get any tackier? Can you really see putting that in your kitchen or washroom? What decor would that match?

Nifty idea, IMO, but...why start with fruit?? I mean...there are so many cool designs one could go with for this concept -- even just *color* (creme or metallic, like nail polish) would be an improvement over the standard BORING white sported by most washers and dryers. The fruit concept is cute but a little whacky. Maybe bubbles would be more apropos of a laundry room? Fruit is such a kitchen/dining area thing...

Is not just fruits, check originalhouse.es and you'll find tons of amazing designs. You can even have your own picture or design put on an Original Panel
