Animal mp3 players' long overdue arrival
At this point, I have to admit that I'm getting a little bored with the design of the iPod. Especially when the other companies feel the need to make their mp3 players look just like Apple's, only slightly worse. My savior, of course, comes from Japan. Not only are they offering alternatives to white boxes, they are uber-cute as well. First there was the teddy bear mp3 player which holds about an hour's worth of music. And now, it has a friend with the dolphin mp3 player, which is the mascot of Toshiba's Dynabook line.

I have to agree the ipod is boring.I bought a 60GB ipod that holds 15,000 songs for my daughter and after listening to 6 songs the battery keeps dying constantly and we have to keep recharging it every other day even though it is a 24 hour battery!I took that back and bought this animal mp3 player and she loves it so much she never leaves the home without it. MOVE OVER IPOD!! animal mp3 players are here to stay.

Just yesterday, the fine folks at akihabara news have a post about saniro's hello kitty mp3 player.
Do we need more convincing that animal mp3 players are in full force?

Hell yeah! I've been waiting for creative electronics. Why don't more electronic manufacturers do this? They're doing really badly on the more conservative front -- it probably wouldn't hurt much to find ways to appeal to different lifestyles. I'm all for animal electronics.
