Micro Kettle
No, it's not a teensy-tiny little teapot that your kid can play house with. It's actually a kettle designed specifically for the microwave. Yes, for those who live off of food heated by our modern kitchen essential, there is the Micro Kettle to help you heat water or any other liquid safely. The little gadget claims to preserve natural flavors, and includes a boil stick for extra safety. Perhaps more importantly, there is an easy grip handle which remains cool to the touch. Much better than burning your hand on a hot ceramic mug while reheating that stale coffee from the early morning.

The measuring lines along the side seem awfully handy, too!

A great – and totally unpublicized – feature of this product is its ability to work directly on most cups and mugs, not just the included measuring cup i.e. boil the water you’re going to use right in the cup you’re going to use. The “boil stick” drops down into the fluid below, so you never get dangerous superheated water.
And, the claim of better foods and drinks is not marketing speak. The fact is you want water just-to-boiling. Seasoned tea drinkers know this. Anything short of boiling and you don’t get all the flavor out; any extra time after boiling is achieved removes dissolved oxygen, making a drink taste flat.

I have this and my mom and I use it all the time. It works really well, never cracks in the microwave or dishwasher - as some plastics tend to - and makes just enough for the two of us.
