McDonalds virtual trainer
I am always amused by the effort that fast food restaurants put forth in trying to escape the “stereotype” of being unhealthy. Especially after the movie Supersize Me came out, it seems a lot of them have been regularly trying to revamp their image with some health related campaign or another.
This time around McDonalds is giving away (until supply lasts) a 15-minute workout video if you order a salad. You can choose between Core, Strength, Cardio and Yoga. Insert the DVD into your player and Maya, McDonalds’ personal virtual instructor, will magically help you work out the quarter pounder with cheese that you ordered along with your salad, because let’s face it, I've never been able to enter a McDonalds and just get salad.
That said, I think I would like the yoga DVD.

Wouldn't it make MORE sense to give it to the people who order the quarter pounder meal? They need it more, dont' they? I've never once ordered a salad at McD's.

Supersize me was a complete scam. I give the guy credit for a good idea to make money but it was a joke. He had to be eating 5,000 plus calories a day to gain the weight he did (eating “off the menu” for three meals a day would put him at about 2,500), so he had to get double proportions. You'll notice too many McDonald’s containers in the background (I suppose, legally he had to have them to cover himself).
The only thing that movie did for me was to make me crave a mouth watering double cheeseburger.

Maya is the spokesgraphic/trainer for Yourself!Fitness. She's only on loan to McD.

I was hoping the DVD would be Ronnie McDonald and a bunch of Guys and Girls who just finished a McDonald's Value Meal and they worked out till one of the McDonalds Patrons keels over and dies.
