Vegan Bags

otsuvegan.jpg

Now I must admit I love my leather goods and don't plan on giving them up anytime soon, but Otsu Queeen Bee makes these great vegan bags that could convert people over to animal-friendly style without most of them noticing it. With cute, funky, hipster patterns, practicing ahimsa and buying clean (no sweatshop-labor!) won't be the first thing on your mind, but it will be another positive effect of buying from two small business owners who promote D.I.Y. and one-of-a-kind products. If only all of our "feel good" purchases were so straightforward.

I don't see this birdie one on the website. I wanted to know how much it is.

The bag you showed there is actually made by Queen Bee, which can also be found at http://www.buyolympia.com/queenbee/ I've bought several of their products and love them all.

If you dig those, you may want to check out the bags at QueenBee. I own the Minima bag, but I think the Chirp bag is the one in your picture. Queenbee must sell through Otsu as well. Their quality is amazing, my bag has been abused by my friends kids, had a laptop hauled in it daily, among other things ...and it's held up perfectly for a year now.

P.S. the large chirp bag is $74 and the small chirp bag is $56.

Also, StitchPixie makes vegan friendly products.

Otsu doesn't actually make those bags, they just sell them. The birdie one in the photo is made by Queen Bee in Portland. Their bags are not just cute, they're also very durable and well-made. Queen Bee's website is here:

This topic is near and dear to me (as a long-time vegan) and just yesterday I discovered Matt&Nat's line of vegan bags and footwear. I am so in love! Too bad their Trinity boots go for $125. Cha-ching.
