I stopped keeping an atomiser of perfume in my makeup pouch after I discovered that even the most expensive travel atomisers have a tendency to leak. Not only is this incredibly wasteful, but even your most favourite perfume might start to irritate if your bag reeked of it for months.

I was recently introduced to the idea of perfume pens. This is basically a felt tip marker that you soak up with your perfume, then swipe across your skin to apply. There are several wooden designs available online, but I feel that a slim metal one is infinitely more elegant. The above designs are from Aero Plus and Eco-Artware, respectively.
