Just in case you thought Ambervision sunglasses were making a comeback…

Nike Vision has introduced serious contact lenses for serious athletes. Nike Maxsight lenses block most of the blue light that causes glare, enhancing clarity and contrast. Available in both prescription and non-prescription formats, there are two colors to suit your sport: grey-green for golf and running, and amber for soccer, tennis, baseball, etc. The lenses are manufactured by Bausch & Lomb, a leader in the contact lens industry.
They can appear a bit strange to others, as they cover your entire pupil in a dark color. Kind of reminiscent of those 'for fun' lenses that give you cat eyes or all white eyes and are popular at Halloween.
Should you wish to be a trend-setter and bring back the oh-so-stylish Ambervision, you're in luck, as they're still available!

amazingly great idea...
too bad Nike was the one to do it.
All I can see is 8 year-old kids packaging up contact lenses for 6 cents a day...

The lenses are manufactured in Rochester, NY, by Bausch & Lomb. I've seen the manufacturing facilities, they are unbelievably clean, sterile, and (of course) staffed by professional adults.
Nike's taken flack for some manufacturing processes, but this product shouldn't be one of them.
