Become a superhero

Have you ever found yourself wishing to be a superhero? I think I wished to be one at different times in my life; in elementary school, when someone bothered me, I always wished I could be just like batman and … and I will stop right there to avoid eternal embarrassment.
In any case, should you also wish (or have wished) to become a superhero, you now have the chance to actively pursue your dream.
Sci-Fi channel and comic book creator Stan Lee (Spidermen; X-men; Hulk; The Fantastic Four) will produce a reality show where you can become a real superhero and be immortalized forever in a comic book and a movie.
In nationwide open casting calls, potential heroes will arrive in costume to prove their mettle — revealing the true nature of their superhuman abilities and invoking the noble credos by which they live. […] From thousands of hopefuls, Stan Lee will choose 11 lucky finalists to move into a secret lair and compete for the opportunity to become a real-life superhero.
Now tell me this doesn’t sound promising. I can’t wait to see the parade of superhero wannabees embarrass themselves in front of millions of viewers … and yes, if I had a cool superhero idea and felt confident enough about it, I would probably consider joining.

I thought this might be a nice attachment to this post. Last weekend This American Life did a piece on Superheroes. In particular, there was one woman who spent years training herself to be a modern Batwoman.

Have you heard that Marvel Comics trademarked the term "superhero"?

Ahem. Please refrain from using the term "super hero" -- lest you wish to have Marvel's permission to use the term:
