Droog Design is now manufacturing Joris Laarman's award winning, fantastically ornate Radiator Heat Wave. This piece of wall art radiates heat electrically using fiberglass enforced concrete and aluminum. A steam heat/water version is due out next year. I've lived in NYC apartments on and off for the last 15 years, all with clunky old radiators, so it's nice to see beautiful interpretations of conventional and familiar forms.
