TiVo has opened up beta testing of its TiVo Desktop 2.3 software, which allows users of the TiVo Series2 boxes to transfer the recorded shows on a PSP or video iPod. Now if the beta version goes gold and NBC refrains from its suing threats, a dream might come true.

This is cool, but too bad it is windows only.

For macintosh and linux users, there is tivotool - found at http://www.tivotool.com


Downloads video from a hacked tivo (easy enough to hack a tivo or just buy a hacked drive to go in your tivo) for use in iTunes, iPod, VLC, and even burn right to dvd.
