Popgadget is a 2006 Bloggies finalist - best computers or technology weblog

The finalists for the Sixth Annual Weblog Awards have been announced, and to our surprise, Popgadget has jumped categories. Last year, we were named in the "best group weblogs" category along with very well-known , high-traffic Boing Boing. Obviously, the competition was rather stiff, and Boing Boing got the prize. But this year, Popgadget is a finalist in the "best computers or technology weblog" category, and it should be cinch. The other finalists are Engadget, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, and Slashdot. No big deal, right?
But, seriously . . . what a rush to see Popgadget among those incredible tech blogs. To everyone who voted for us, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts. Nominations are open again through January 31st (until 10:00 pm EST) to pick the winners from the finalists in each category.
Congratulations to our own Regine, whose We Make Money Not Art is once again a finalist in the "best european blog" category. And congratulations to all the other finalists.
Don't forget to go in and vote again to pick the winners.
