Liparazzi

liparazzi.jpg

Liparazzi is light up lip gloss with an affixed mirror created by husband/wife team Nina and Max Leykind whose idea came to the creator on a night out with friend Emma Bunton (you know, Baby Spice. Nice name drop by the way). The website asks us to "picture this":

Hot date, cool restaurant, no time to nip to the loo between courses you wonder why your date cools off before dessert.

Ooo-kay. But aside from the Sex and the City-like scenario (and bad grammar to boot), there are some good points as to why the light up lip gloss is a practical idea. For example, the quick check in the mirror in the back of a dark cab to see if there is something in your teeth, trying to find a lost contact lens in a dark club, lighting up the bottom of your bag to find your keys after a tipsy night out...oh, the list goes on. But my personal favorite suggested use: waving the light up gloss at rock concerts instead of a lighter. Of course all of this assumes that you are a club-hopping, concert-going, bar-frequenting social butterfly. But if you are like me and no longer much of any of those things...hmmm...wonder if the light up lip gloss is useful after all.

Janine:

I really like this idea but totally cracked up when I selected one of the shades. When you click on the Shop link and select a shade, there is a bit of information that let's the customer know that this product is tested on celebrities, not animals. It wasn't enough to say that the product is tested on humans, not animals. Goodness, I don't know why but that one just made my day :) Celebrities 1 Animals 0

This is the sort of thing I'm sourcing for inmyhandbag.com! I think its a great idea! might order some for the buying team to play with! we only sell stuff we like!

to nip to the loo??
what does it mean?
