Dunk mugs

I very recently discovered the world's easiest, but still impressive, dessert: affogato. It's just ice cream, with good, hot espresso poured over it. What you get after a few minutes is a warm, incredibly rich, sweet latte with just enough of the bitterness of the coffee still coming through. If you served it in these dunk mugs, you could add a few cookies (microwaving cookies for a couple of seconds beforehand, homemade or not, makes a huge difference) and keep them warm while the affogato is still hot around the edges, before it reaches perfect meltiness. Hot cocoa with vanilla ice cream works well too, and was a big hit when I served it during the holidays. There was a waiting list to get these mugs in December, but post-holiday, should be available again. They're available in multiple colors and in right and left handed versions.
Dunk mugs are about $25 from MochaHome.

See, now this is the kind of ingenuity that makes our world great. Note to self: pick up ice cream at the store tomorrow.
