Stylish humidifier

I've been needing a humidifier for ages because I hate the effects of all the dry indoor heat of winter on my skin, but I live in an apartment where space is pretty scarce and humidifiers are always big, lumpy, and unsightly. The Plus Minus Zero humidifier will put moisture back in your skin, but its sleek donut-shaped body is something you can display like a piece of modern sculpture. Something about the shape of this really invites touching, but it get very hot when it's on, so you'll have to resist. It doubles as an aromatherapy diffuser, so a few drops of fragrance oil will infuse the steam with whatever scent you like. One fill-up of water provides 8 hous of "computer-controlled" humidifying. Fully assembled, the humidifier doesn't look like it has mechanical parts at all:

My dogs would inevitably get burnt noses from poking their heads in, looking for treats.
Plus Minus Zero humidifiers come in five colors, for $299 from Compact Impact. They're best for small spaces, so you'd need several to keep a whole house moist.

oh why must it cost so much? I can't spend that much on a humidifier.

it's really such a sleek looking thing -- i would pair it with my max space heater from target. it's great when these traditionally ugly appliances can be rethought and redesigned. i'm just waiting for them to do that to tvs!! i hate how tvs look right now and the hansprees are too childish--tho i like the idea.. anyhow i think that the humidifier is a tad cheaper at dynamism.com which is where i got mine.

Luckly dogs - probably even american dogs - don't put their noses anywhere hot - they'are not as stupid as humans (have become in some parts of the world)... so don't worry, they'll feel the heat.

Don't you think that $300 is a little expensive for a humidifier?
