Pocket ceramic nail files
One of my handbag essentials is a nail file. For a time I had a tiny folding sapphire file made by Zwilling J.A. Henckels. I carried it around until I was forced to leave it behind at the airport in Hong Kong. I never bought a replacement, convinced that I was just as likely to forget to check it in the next time I flew. Happily, I found today that Zwilling makes a pocket-sized, folding ceramic file now. Ceramic files are kinder to your nails, in any case, and less fragile than glass files (which I stopped using after breaking two). Also sold under their Tweezerman brand, it comes only in plain black. Prettier, but much harder to find online, is Erlinda's Girly version, which comes in 7 different colours.
