Lips Strip Club

lipsticket.jpg
I'm a big fan of the personal care strip products category. Whether it's Crest Whitestrips or Biore Pore Strips, chances are, I've given it a whirl. It was happy days again yesterday when I stumbled on a lipstick strip product while I was poking around in Flight 001.

These colorful bookmark-sized Passport Lipstickets contain 30 tear 'n go lipstick stubs in three different shades (pale pink, nude, sheer berry). Imagine placing two Whitestrips between your lips, gel side up, and rubbing them together. Your lips end up tinted thanks to a somewhat surprising transposition: The reverse blot. Instead of a feeling of cold gel on your lips, the primary sensation is of a warm emollient balm. The lightest shade, called Alps, is no different than a light coat of invisibly pink chapstick.

On a night when I'm unable to cart around my normal tube, pot or tin, I can imagine tucking a berry-colored Paris Lipsticket into my wallet like a postage stamp. As with most strip products there is a certain amount of waste involved. One application will have you tossing aways pieces of cardboard and plastic. Lipstickets are qeued up on Sephora and Amazon for $16.00.
