The one thing I have never done during my entire stay in the States (which amounted to about four years) was to carve a pumpkin. The year I left, I remember walking around Park Slope and seeing all those brownstones decorated for Halloween; I took a bunch of pictures, thought about carving a pumpkin and … never did it … but, I might have done it if the Spike and Buffy stencils had been available.
