Pet dry room

Daun ENG has launched a new Pet Dry Room at Seoul International Dog show. Infrared radiation helps to dry the skin fast and protect the skin from rashes.
At first I wanted to make a huge poster of that picture. Or print it on a wallpaper. Found it so hilarious. But on second thought, I got concerned for poor doggie's well-being in there, especially if s/he's as claustrophobic as I am and I hope people won't get "inspired" by the image and think they can do the same with their oven at home. And I'm not sure that bombing your pets with infrared is a nice way to show them how much you care.

Hmmmm, I have to think about the infrared concept, but honestly, this sounds potentially, well, not totally absurd. I used to work as a dog bather, and the blow dryers used in professional grooming are terribly noisy, hot, and often seemed traumatic for the dogs. In contrast, some older dogs would go into a small drying cage where they were just flooded with warm air, and they loved that. So who knows, pups may actually find this contraption oddly cozy. It has to be nicer the deafening roar of the overhead blow dryer.

I have to agree with the question, "What if the dog is claustrophobic?" However, my main concern is, "How safe is Infared Radiation?
After all, we humans go to tanning salons...we are cautioned of over-exposure, etc. Wouldn't we have the same precautions for our pets?" Shouldn't we consider the old saying; "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It!".
