Memory ball radio

memoryballradio.jpg
I love when someone puts a new spin on something that's been relatively unchanged for ages. This new Memory ball radio, from Uncommon Goods does away with the tuning dial and push buttons and instead uses a grid and magnetized ball for rolling onto your favorite stations. Just roll the ball to change to one of 18 stations (9 FM and 9 AM) along the grid. It's also an alarm clock with standard issue buttons. It'd be great if you could smash the ball into the clock to turn off the alarm. That's probably the problem, the lack of restraint- it would be a one-time use alarm for most people.

$60 at Uncommon Goods.

Elegantelbow:

Of course, when your pet runs off with the ball, you'll be sad and stuck.

LeDiva:

Spiffy.

But what happens if you lose the ball?

me:

my cats would bat the ball off in about 2 minutes, never to be seen again.
