Anyone for a serving of blue rice?

dietfurikake.jpg

"Diet Furikake" is a flavored and blue seasoning to be sprinkled on rice.

The human brain distinguishes between "pleasant" and "non-pleasant" and makes the body avoid non-pleasant things. As 70% of the information sent to the brain comes from visual perception, you can -so they say- program your brain to reject carbs through an unpleasant view of carbohydrate food and stop overeating.

Diet Furikake dyes the rice in blue, and your brain will form a negative image of it.

The Japanese manufacturer claims that the colour comes from blueberry coloring and the flavor is salty. One box contains 10 envelopes of 25g each and comes with a "Blue Rice amulet strap" to protect you from overeating.

From Odd things from Japan.

JC:

Makes me wonder if color-blind people that see blue in a common food color, like brown, are skinnier than those with proper color vision.
