Your personal 'cell mate'

If you never really got over tamagotchis, you might just love Mobies, described as 'a cross between a mobile game, a tamagotchi and a screensaver' for your mobile phone. Mobies literally live for your messages and phone calls. The more messages and calls you get, the happier and healthier your Mobie will be, eventually giving the user access to new activities, props and toys. It also entertains the user by reacting to events and changes on your mobile, such as dancing excitedly when the phone rings, receiving a letter when an SMS or MMS arrives, fixing an aerial when the network signal is weak or becoming tired when the battery is low.

Developed by Player X and Vodafone, Mobies will soon be available to Vodafone's major markets. The first Mobie character is the uncreatively named (and designed) 'Space Boy', due to be released this month. See the press release.
