Truth detector

You can't buy Jerk-o-meter software yet, but if you're dying to test the incorruptibility of your boyfriend, the President, Martha Stewart, or anyone else, the truth detector will check their voices for signs of stress, possible indicators that they're trying to pull one over on you. The detector uses a Psychological Stress Evaluator (PSE) and a Voice Stress Analyzer (VSA) to instantly display a "truthfulness" result. The truth detector can also track a voice over a course of time, to better account for that person's own speech patterns and rhythms.
Great...except that vocal stress hasn't been proven to catch liars that accurately. While voice stress analysis is undoubtedly picking up signs of stress, there's really no way to determine if the stress is caused because of lying, or perhaps because the topic of conversation is unpleasant. Or the talker could just be really excited, which is often a good thing. More advanced vocal analyzers test many parameters like mental effort, concentration, anger, love, or lust. A love or lust meter could be a great tool for some people who seem to have trouble discerning the difference and get hurt every time.
The truth detector is $32.99 at Smarthome.
