Serving forks for dog food

aaaapet.jpg

A feeding fork for doggies! Perfect tool to make your pets eat their greens.

Wait for the best bit: Don't break your nails on the tin; simply slip the handle into the can's ring pull for easy opening.

Alessi Mr. Suicide Bathtub Plug

mr-suicide-bathtub-plug.jpg

Mr. Suicide is yet another awesome little gadget by the famous Italian design firm Alessi. I have always been a fan of Cico the egg cup, which still remains one of my favorite items of any Alessi collection. I love Cico because it isn’t just cute and funny, but also extremely functional, holding the spoon in its hand and using its cap as a salt castor.

Mr. Suicide, designed by Massimo Giacon, is probably not as functional as the egg holder, but a brilliant product nonetheless. Available for £ 18.00 on the Alessi online store.

Via Strange New Products

And while you are surfing on the Alessi site, make sure to check the Tea & Coffee Towers collection (link to flash page from the homepage). Below a picture of the Kung-Fu Tea Set designed by Gary Chang with the help of his grandfather, “my definite consultant on this Tea & Coffee Towers project”. The design of the set has also been influenced by another day-to-day phenomenon of Chang’s life: “having lunch at the local Chinese Restaurant that does Dim Sum food”.

Kung_Fu_Tea_Set.jpg

The collage of the dim-sum basket is literally transformed to become the Kung-Fu Tea Set, created out of an ensemble of sterling silver in Italy and Chinese Red Clay from Yixing; with different elements for various functions that can pile up according to different scenarios”.

The production of the Kung-Fu Tea Set is limited to 99 copies and I wasn’t able to find out a price for it on the Alessi site, though I am dying to put my hands on one of these.

Terra Grass Chair

grass_chair.JPG

If I had a nice garden I would probably want one of these. I am not sure how successful I would be in growing this grass chair, since gardening is definitely not one of my talents.

You can get the Terra Grass Chair from Lazybone for £59.99 (or € 89.98 / $ 107.98) and it will be delivered worldwide.

National Disc Warranty

nat_disc_warranty.jpg

Discwarranty.com offers to replace your damaged CDs, DVDs and game discs for a yearly fee of $59.99. You can subscribe to its service online and get your damaged digital support freely replaced (or restored) within 3-5 business days. The company has more than 100,000 titles on hand and reports that their service is particularly appreciated by owners of consoles.

I usually try to take good care of my CDs, DVDs and game discs, but they do get damaged especially if they're used a lot, and while it’s easy to back up your audio CDs, it is not as simple to back up DVDs and it’s practically impossible to back up game discs. Depending on how high one’s personal damage rate is, it might be worth investing those 60 bucks.

What’s the big iPod news?!

All over the net you can find articles announcing that Apple has sent out invitations for an event in San Francisco scheduled for Wednesday September 7th. Everyone is speculating on what the company’s announcement will be. The video iPod? An upgraded version of the iPod Shuffle? The Motorola iPod phone?
I guess we will have to wait until next Wednesday to find out … I am putting my bets on the Video iPod.

Ne plus dormir seule

nepas-1.jpg

Let the boys keep their unsophisticated Girlfriend Lap Pillow. French designer Hervé Mat&Jewsky has some appetizing benches and bed linens for us.

Note: Ne Pas Dormir Seul(e) means "not sleeping alone" and Prends-Moi Dans Tes Bras means "take me in you arms"!

HydraBrush cleans both sides of the tooth at the same time

flying249.jpg

Yes, both sides at the same time!

The HydraBrush Ultra, dubbed the automatic car-wash for your teeth, promises to eliminate human error (I beg your pardon?) and to offer proper oral care every time you put it in your mouth.

There's also a HydraBrush Express version that cleans all surfaces of the teeth automatically in 40 seconds or less. In my humble opinion, you really have to be lazy or unconscious about your oral health to trust that double turbo.

Check the animation of how it works on the website.
Hydrabrush Ultra retails for $152.15 and Hydrabrush Express for US$109.65
